Have you talked to him at all?? It's not so bad that you're bad at algebra, maybe he's good at it and that will give you at least one thing to talk about. Plus, every time that you go into class make sure you're smiling when you walk in the door. I know it sounds ridiculous and you might feel like and idiot at first but I SWEAR it works. Always walk in smiling- he'll wonder what you're up to, and he'll start talking to you. I'm telling you- it landed me the crush of my life when I was in 9th grade.
I understand what the question was and I answered it "So to answer your question, I don't know what I would do, but I do know that I wouldn't tell someone else what to do," but if you are asking me now if I would abort a fetus if I felt that I couldn't take care of it an answer from the past is yes - b/c I have done so. At this point in my life I don't know what I would do. The issue is far too complex to answer questions according to some " What if " game, there are so many factors in any decision to have an abortion it's more than a matter of hypothetical questions. It's fo rthis reason that no one should be able to make a decision for someone else. Thanks
Have you read my other blogs?? I have had an abortion. I cannot presume to know what being 8 months pregnant, unemployed, homeless and alone is like. Fact check for ya, ONE HALF of 1% of abortions are third trimester abortions, consequences of serious health problems with the mother or the fetus. So to answer your question, I don't know what I would do, but I do know that I wouldn't tell someone else what to do,
In my opinion the protestors outside of Planned Parenthoods across the country marching back and forth with falsified pictures of dead babies are fundamentalists. Especially when the abortion services that PP may provide are the main focus of the protestors, and they make a conscious decision to ignore all of the other health care services PP provides for ANYONE, male of female regardless of age or income. Perhaps if you read the article a litte more closely you'll see that these women did not "go knocking on doors". Admirable for you to say that you personally oppose abortion, but you leave the decision for someone else to have one or a doctor to perform one up to them. That is the very definition of pro-choice. We need more pro-choice republicans.
That's an interesting point, and I'll do my best to find out why exactly she walked into the wrong place. I can say, however that based on my information on these "clinics", many of them are designed specifically to look like Planned Parenthood,so that's possible. Also possible is the fact that in many places, Planned Parenthood faces a lot adversity from fundamentalists who are ill informed about the other health services provided at a PP facility, and often times a PP building will be discreetly marked. Consequently, any "clinic" set up adjacent to Planned Parenthood could be easily mistaken as the real thing. Thanks

that sucks. I actually just sort of did that myself to someone. It just wasn't the right time for me and I decided that I really didn't like him that much. Plus I think that we were in two really different places in our lives. Couldn't speculate on your situation though, who know's what's up with him.
Who knows what they're thinking. The bill was designed with a blithe lack of concern for the women specifically to challenge Roe. The bottom line is that if you can control a woman's reproduction, if she has no control of that, than you can control her. I'm posting another later about Texas, interesting stuff, right now I have to go to a rally to show support for the women of South Dakota.
Pro-choice advocates are exactly that. They advocates for women who want to have children, and women who don't. They support sex ed and contraception, safe sex and sti testing. Pro choice advocates support a woman's right to have control over her life via her reproductive health. The anti-choice side is making decisions that will affect not one, but at least two people. Check out Texas - the abortion rate went down since the parental notification law went into effect. Only the New York times pointed out that the teenage pregnancy rate satyed the same, and while the abortion rate went down, the highschool drop out rate went up. What's the likelyhood of a female high school drop out with children going to college, running for senator, applying for an executive position ?? Controlling a woman's reproducitve rights in the name of "potential life" is just a way to control women.
I think you're absolutely right about a structured, comprehensive sex education program in schools. These programs are severly lacking in the United States public and private school systems. It's important for people like yourself to speak up about that. I don' t know if you have children but you seem to agree that it's important for them to be educated about ways to protect themselves and prevent things like abortion and disease. Talk to your school boards. I also agree that there is a difference in maturity between a 13 year old and a 17 year old. I'm not questioning that. However what you're looking at as far as Parental Notification laws go, is a parent having the power to say that the same 13 year old who isn't responsible enough or educated enough to know how to protect themselves, should be forced to care for a child. Please speak up about sex education. If you need info about your state I can provide that.
